FAQ

Here you can find the Frequently Asked Questions. You can read the answer by clicking on the question. We try to update the FAQ regularly, so please keep checking them if you have a question.

Ranking -- Which Ranking Number are we at in the Ranking?

Every Monday around 12:00 CET we will provide an update on the highest ranking number that has been offered a spot for CSE. (On irregular basis we will also update during the workweek)

Ranking Number: 751

(last update 10-07 / 09:00 CET)

Ranking -- How does the placing procedure work?

On the 15th of April you have been informed of your ranking number via Studielink. Depending on your ranking number and the number of places available, you may or may not directly have been offered a spot for the CSE bachelor on the 15th.

If you have been offered a spot, you have to accept this spot via Studielink within two weeks. If you do not accept your spot within two weeks, the spot will automatically be assigned to the next available candidate on the ranking list.

As some candidates for various reasons may not accept their spot, this process will continue until mid-August (mid-June for Non-EU/EFTA nationals, due to visa and payment requirements). So if you have a ranking number in the first few hundred places after 550, make sure to check Studielink and your mailbox on a bi-weekly basis, as you might still be offered a spot for CSE.

Ranking -- What do I need to do when I get offered a spot for CSE?

If you have been offered a spot for CSE, you have to accept this spot via Studielink within two weeks. If you do not accept your spot within two weeks, your spot will automatically be assigned to the next available candidate on the ranking list.

Ranking -- My ranking number is higher than 550, what do I do?

As some candidates for various reasons may not accept their spot, it is still possible to get offered a spot for CSE. Note that based on the past years, the first few hundred ranking numbers past ranking number 550 have a chance of receiving a spot after the initial release of spots on the 15th of April.

The process works as follows: If a candidate does not accept their spot, the spot will automatically be assigned to the next available candidate on the ranking list in Studielink. During this automated procedure your ranking number does not change, but a new spot will be assigned to the next available (higher) ranking number.

This process will continue until mid-August (mid-June for Non-EU/EFTA nationals, because of visa arrangements and the payment deadline), so make sure to check Studielink and your mailbox on a bi-weekly basis.

Ranking -- I have decided not to study CSE at the TU Delft, what do I do?

If you decide not to study CSE at the TU Delft, please withdraw your application in Studielink as soon as possible. If you have been offered a spot or have already accepted your spot, you can just withdraw your application in Studielink and your spot will be offered to the next person in the ranking.
